Arizona Concealed Carry and Personal Defense

Inclusive Firearms Training for the LGBTQIA+ Community

Welcome to a space where self-defense is treated not as fear-based paranoia, but as empowered self-respect — especially for LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities who often face unique threats to their safety and autonomy.

This course provides the training required for your Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP), but it’s so much more than that. Taught in a judgment-free, affirming environment, this course is designed to give you the tools, knowledge, and mindset to carry a firearm responsibly, legally, and confidently. Whether you’re new to firearms or looking to deepen your skills, this course meets you where you are — with a focus on real-world preparedness, self-awareness, and community care.

What You’ll Learn

Understand

Choosing to own or carry a firearm comes with a serious level of responsibility. We’ll equip you with the foundational knowledge, safety practices, and ethical mindset you need to carry with confidence and clarity.

Plan

How would you respond in a real-world self-defense situation? You’ll learn how to prepare mentally, physically, and emotionally — including how your body may respond to adrenaline, fear, and danger. Developing a plan ahead of time can make the difference between chaos and control.

Avoid

Knowing how and when not to use your firearm is just as important as knowing how to shoot. You’ll gain critical insight into the legal consequences of using deadly force, how to de-escalate potentially violent situations, and what steps to take in the immediate aftermath of a defensive encounter.

Course Curriculum

  • Handgun safety, mechanics, and shooting fundamentals
  • Situational awareness and conflict avoidance
  • The psychology of violent encounters
  • Legal aspects of using deadly force, including post-incident actions
  • Home defense strategies and personal protection planning
